Description
This 21 hectare estate is located in the district of Neac, north of Pomerol, on a plateau of low altitude. The estate has been owned by the Champseix family for over three generations. Jean-Pierre Champseix runs the estate today, producing great quality wines from his Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines, which have an average age of 30 years.
TASTING NOTES
Black hue with dark purple glints. Nose of heady vanilla oak with peony notes and fresh cassis and raspberry. Supple palate with aromatic depth, and not complexity, as its main calling card. Perfect for red meats.
FOOD PAIRING
Roasted or grilled meats ranging from beef, veal, pork and game.
