Description
As we continue to bake in glorious hot English weather and the school terms are coming to an end, thoughts quickly turn to the summer holidays and fantastic Mediterranean getaways. Sun, sand and of course delicious indigenous wines await. To whet your appetite, we have devoted our July Tasting Event to the wines of the Mediterranean peninsula. The line-up is as follows:-
Raventos i Blanc Blanc de Blancs – A sparkling rival to Cava from Catalunya, Spain
Alpha Estate ‘Hedgehog’ – A Xinomavro Rosé from Macedonia, Greece
Clos Venturi ‘1769’ Blanc – A blend of Biancu Gentile, Vermentinu, Riminese, Genovese and Carcaghjolu Blanc from Corsica
Moschopolis Winery ‘Moschopolis 6’ – An Assyrtiko with a touch of Xinomavro from Thessaloniki, Greece
Mandrarossa Frappato – A cherry red Frappato from Sicily
Donnafugata ‘Floramundi’ – A Nero D’Avola from Sicily
If you decide to buy a bottle (or more!) of any of the wines you try, there’ll be a 10% discount on the night. Free delivery is available within a 10-mile radius of Corkage for purchases of £50 or more.
Please note, because we are a small venue, you may be sitting at a shared table with guests who are not part of your group.
