Why we love it
A rich wine enlivened by the refreshing acidity of this interesting grape variety – a crossing of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat.
Tasting notes
Purplish-red in colour. The nose is fresh, with aromas of mint, blueberries, red fruits and spices. The palate is succulent with rich, sweet fruit balanced by firm, ripe tannins.
Food pairing
Try with steak with a green peppercorn sauce or either meat or vegetarian shepherd’s pie.
Additional information
Bodega Bresesti was founded in 1937 by immigrants from the Northern Italian region of Lombardy. The winery is located on the outskirts of Montevideo. Benefitting from vineyards in the coveted micro-region of Las Violetas, the winery produces high-quality, distinctive wines delivering a unique expression of the terroir.
The wine was fermented in concrete tanks with subsequent maturation in 80% American oak and 20% French oak for three to four months.
