Why we love it
A fabulous Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay – elegant and textured with lovely fruit balanced by discreet oak. Excellent value for money.
Tasting notes
Pale gold in colour. On the nose, inviting aromas of stone fruits and nutty barrel-ferment characters. Intense and mineral on the entry, with an elegant mid palate of white peach and a delicate savoury texture, all held together by a pure, driving line of acidity.
Food pairing
Perfect with roast chicken or firmer fish dishes.
Additional information
The fruit was hand picked and whole-bunch pressed using a gentle press cycle. The wine was fermented using wild yeast and subsequently underwent full malolactic conversion. It remained in barrel for a total of 12 months before being racked off the lees and into tank. The resulting wine was bottled using no fining and minimal filtration. Minimal sulphur dioxide was used throughout the process.
