Description

Domaine Thibert is situated in the village of Fuisse and is run by Christophe Thibert, assisted by wife Catherine and sister Sandrine who studied winemaking in New Zealand. There are 20 hectares in total, 95% planted to Chardonnay all farmed along organic lines, and their holdings include 8ha in Pouilly-Fuisse, 1ha in Pouilly-Vinzelles and 4ha in Macon-Fuisse. Wine is produced in tiny quantities, mak-ing this Pouilly-Fuisse a rare treat before release, this wine has spent a year in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit, and then aged for up to 11 months in oak to add richness, body and flavour complexity.

TASTING NOTES

The nose is dominated by white fruit aromas, with a pleasant woody undertone. Full-bodied and ripe on the palate, with fleshy peach and buttery notes. Fresh, pure and easy-drinking when young, but will age beautifully for anything up to 10 years.
