Description

The impressive Vistarino estate covers more than 826 hectares with 200 hectares under vine around the village of Rocca de Giorgi in the Oltrepo Pavese (near Pavia, on the south bank of the Po river). The Giorgi di Vistarino family have been landowners in Rocca de Giorgi since the mid-fifteenth century and have been producing wine almost as long. Augusto Carlo Vistarino was responsible for introducing the Pinot Nero grape to the Oltrepo Pavese in the 19th century, earning worldwide recognition for his Spu-mante, and his work was continued by his sons Ottaviano and Carlo and carried on today by Ottavia Giorgi di Vistarino
