Description
The Christian Dauny Domaine covers an area of 16 hectares, on a silty clay soil. There is 12.5ha of Sancerre Sauvignon to produce the white wines and 3.5ha of Black Pinot for rosé and red wine. Grow-ing grapes organically is not some newfound fad for this vineyard. The vineyard was completely converted to organic farming in 1964.
TASTING NOTES
The Sancerre Rouge is a dry, light-bodied red with a raspberry fruit bouquet; a light summer pudding fruit on the palate and soft acidity.
