A superb Cabernet-based blend from vines planted in ancient South African soils – elegant with a core of satin-textured tannins and youthful energy.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red in colour. Layers of fresh fruit on the nose – black raspberry, strawberry, plum and blackcurrant – along with notes of star anise, nutmeg and tobacco leaf. Plush fruit and spicy nuances on the palate.
Food pairing
Pair with beef, lamb or game.
Additional information
The blend is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. The wine was matured for 18 months in older French-oak barriques.
