Why we love it
A lush, rich, food wine. A great alternative for lovers of Chardonnay.
Tasting notes
A powerful nose of lacquered wood, honey, dried orange peel, cardamon and aromatic bitters. Rich and weighty on the palate, with flavours of caramel and ripe pear, a little sweet oak and a bit of tannic bite.
Food pairing
Try with rich shellfish dishes, mildly spicy foods, stir fries or salmon.
Additional information
The 2018 Roussanne was Tablas Creek’s 18th varietal bottling of their most important white grape. The yields were low that year, but the grapes harvested were powerfully characteristic of the Roussanne grape, and with this wine the makers have successfully highlighted the varietal’s balance of richness and freshness.
