A wine that’s so smooth it’s immediately obvious why Touriga Nacional is Portugal’s most prized grape variety.
Tasting notes
Ruby red in colour. On the nose, aromas of ripe plum over the signature lavender, violet, clove and five spice aromatics of Touriga Nacional. On the palate, flavours of red and blue fruits and rounded tannins. Great depth of flavour.
Food pairing
Drink with rich meat dishes or barbecued meats.
Additional information
After picking, the grapes for this wine were destemmed and crushed, then fermented with indigenous yeast. The wine was subsequently matured in French oak for 18 months, before being bottled without fining or filtration.
