Description

Nuno Mira do Ó is the viticulturalist and winemaker behind Druida and Vidente and creates hand-crafted wines in the historic Dão region. The Druida label harks back to the ancient Celtic druids, wise men and philosophers who sought spiritual equilibrium between man and nature, and it’s in a similar spirit that Nuno aims to make his wine. Grapes are grown by Nuno Matos at Quinta da Tur-quide in Silgueiros at an altitude of 500 metres on granite-rich soils and subject to a large temperature shifts as a result of the Serra do Caramulo from the west and Serra da Estrela from the south-east.

TASTING NOTES

A Ruby colour. Delicate and complex nose. In the mouth, smoothness, perfect acidity, elegance, clear and pure fruitiness, cinnamon, light pine, notes of cherry, cocoa and a fine freshness vegetable. Great elegance and delicacy, with fine silky tines.

FOOD PAIRING

Excellent with all kinds of meat dishes, especially for accompany grilled meats. A rich red that would go very well with game and spicy meat dished Moroccan food or meat pastas and chilli.
