Why we love it
A terrific, bold, terroir-driven red blend from the Swartland wine-making region of South Africa.
Tasting notes
Ruby red in colour. On the nose, aromas of lily and fynbos, along with sweet red fruit and soft spices. Bright, juicy red fruit on the palate – multi-layered and complex.
Food pairing
Drink with venison or other game.
Additional information
From the warm, dry Swartland area of South Africa. Matured in older, mostly thick-stave, French-oak barrels, the main objective being micro-oxygenation and a greater lees-contact surface area, rather than to add oaky, smoky characteristics.
