Why we love it
An elegant, harmonious vintage Port, with lovely floral aromas and vibrant black-fruit flavours.

Tasting notes
Dark ruby in colour. On the nose, excellent floral aromas of violets and mint combine with layer upon layer of ripe blackberry fruit. Great freshness and elegance on the palate, with vibrant fruit flavours and velvety tannins leading to a long, persistent finish.

Food pairing
A perfect end to a good lunch or dinner, on its own. It also makes a great partner for blue cheeses and rich nut or chocolate desserts.

Additional information
Whereas some vintage Ports can be almost overwhelming in their richness, Warre’s vintage Port combines elegance, length and balance, while still retaining the underlying rich opulence of great vintage Port.

Following a very dry winter and a late flowering, the 2000 harvest was tiny. However, the small, concentrated grapes produced outstanding wines.

Stored correctly, Warre’s 2000 Vintage Port will age superbly for decades. A great gift for anyone born in 2000.
