Why we love it
A lovely perfumed wine – lively with bright focus and finesse, and showing great interplay between the two grape varieties.
Tasting notes
Light gold in colour. On the nose, lifted notes of peach, lime and ginger, along with a herbal touch of pepper, fennel and lemongrass. On the palate, there is a lovely concentration and depth of flavour, enhanced by a delicate line of phenolic structure, a supple texture and a long, elegant finish.
Food pairing
Try with sushi or sashimi, baked white fish, cream sauces, guacamole or aged cheddar.
Additional information
Whole bunches of Riesling were crushed by foot and soaked in juice for up to 72 hours, while the Grüner Veltliner was destemmed, lightly crushed by foot and soaked in juice for up to 72 hours. The fruit was pressed together and co-fermented in stainless-steel vats. The wine was rested in old oak barriques for 11 months prior to bottling.
The blend is 64% Riesling and 36% Grüner Veltliner.
