Why we love it
A vibrant and youthful Provence-style rosé with lovely aromas of red summer fruits and rose petals – local too, from just outside Guildford.
Tasting notes
Light salmon pink in colour. On the nose, aromas of red summer fruits and rose petals, with notes of cranberry and rhubarb. Fruity and refreshing on the palate, with an elegant subtlety.
Food pairing
Perfect with seafood or grilled chicken, or just to drink on its own on a summer’s day.
Additional information
Established in 2013, the Chilworth Manor vineyard has a gently sloping south-easterly aspect. Its naturally fertile, sandy loam lies on a base of sandstone, part of the Hythe formation. The site shares a similar geology with the Val de Reims and Valle de la Marne areas in the Champagne region of France.
Chilworth Manor is founding member of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain, a scheme launched in 2020 to call on vineyards across the country to establish environmental sustainability as a cornerstone of the UK wine industry.
