Why we love it
Crowd-pleasing fizz from the only working vineyard within the GU1 postcode area.
Tasting notes
Pale salmon pink in colour. Pear, peach and fresh-baked bread on the nose. A persistent mousse of fine bubbles and complex fruit flavours.
Food pairing
An excellent aperitif or celebratory drink. Great with lobster and meaty fish.
Additional information
Pewley Down Vineyard sits on a south-facing chalk slope close to Pewley Down on the southern edge of Guildford. The small, hand-tended vineyard produces high-quality grapes with concentrated flavours and mineral expressions reflecting the location.
The wine is made for the vineyard by Master Winemaker Sam Linter at the Bolney Wine Estate using the traditional method, with secondary bottle fermentation and lees ageing.
