Why we love it
With grapes sourced from an excellent ripening area close to the River Crouch in Essex, this is a fine addition to the higher echelons of English red-wine making.
Tasting notes
Black and red fruit on the nose, with smoke and vanilla from the oak and mild tobacco notes. On the palate, red cherry and plum blend with strawberry and raspberry, underpinned by toasty oak.
Food pairing
Pairs well with roast lamb or duck.
