Why we love it
One to take you out of the white-wine comfort zone – prolonged skin contact provides the orange tint and rich, umami qualities.
Tasting notes
Golden with a hint of orange in colour. Fragrant on the nose. On the palate, notes of apple peel, stone fruit and nuts, with an umami mix of saltiness, sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Rich, meaty and savoury – very tasty.
Food pairing
Try with a spicy lamb tagine or biryani, or a smoky aubergine dish.
Additional information
The grapes were macerated on their skins for nine months in terracotta amphorae in the coldest part of the cellar, with fermentation taking place naturally. The wine was subsequently placed into concrete vats, where it settled naturally and was then bottled without sulphites.
