Why we love it
An attractive Sancerre with a touch of minerality on the palate that combines nicely with the aromatic fruit character on the nose.
Tasting notes
Light gold in colour. On the nose, aromas of candied citrus peel, white stone fruit, mango and pineapple. The palate is defined by the optimal balance between the freshness of the fruit and the
richness of the lees. The finish is dynamic with a pleasant touch of mineral salinity adding complexity.
Food pairing
Pairs well with chicken, turkey, goat cheese, grilled trout, salmon and asparagus.
Additional information
In the village of Crézancy, seven kilometres west of Sancerre, the Sautereau family has been producing wine for nine generations. The winery is currently run by David Sautereau, who produces modern, attractive wines that offer excellent value for money.
The pressed grapes were fermented for three weeks in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures of between 16 and 20°C in order to preserve the purity and aromatics of the fruit. The wine was then aged for 12 months on its fine lees, with a fraction aged in concrete vats, to add texture and complexity to the final blend.
