Typical Bolgheri grape varieties, offering density and concentration, but also freshness and an easy-drinking quality.
Tasting notes
Ruby red in colour. On the nose, aromas of black cherry and blackcurrants, with notes of tobacco, leather and cedar. Firm and dry on the palate, with hints of spice and green pepper alongside the black-fruit flavours. A lightly chewy mouthfeel and firm, silky tannins.
Food pairing
The ideal partner for grilled red meats.
Additional information
The grapes were destemmed then soft pressed to partially rupture the berries. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place naturally and the wine was aged for 15 months in 225-litre French-oak barriques (30% new and 70% second use).
The blend is 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc 20% and 10% Petit Verdot.
