A fabulous single-vineyard Brunello – tightly knit and full bodied with a wonderful elegance.
Tasting notes
Ruby red in colour with light garnet reflections. On the nose, aromas of violet, cyclamen and jasmine, with notes of fresh black and red fruits and spice. Well balanced on the palate, with good acidity and structure, smooth tannins and excellent persistence.
Food pairing
Pair with red meats, game meats and birds, mushroom or truffle dishes, and Parmesan or Pecorino cheese.
Additional information
The grapes were hand harvested, and fermentation took place in 2500-litre Slavonian-oak vats. The wine was aged for 30 months in lightly toasted 4000-litre casks, followed by six months’ bottle ageing before release to market.
